Below are a series of FAQ's that should help you answer any questions you may have about your gin making kit or box

GinMix Kits & Boxes

How many bottles will a GinMix kit or botanical box make?


Each kit will make 4 bottles of gin using 500ml of vodka for each bottle.




What does each GinMix complete gin making kit contain?


Our complete gin kits contain everything you need to make your gin. Just add vodka. This includes a 500ml Italian Nocturne Bottle complete with black cork cap, glass infusion jar with twist off lid, funnel, filter papers, stainless steel strainer, juniper berries, artisan botanicals and, if selected, flavoured blends. All presented in a handmade wooden pine box with step-by-step guide.




What does each GinMix botanical box contain?


Our botanical box contains the top up botanicals for making gin. It also contain step by step instructions.




What are the ingredients in each kit?


The botanical blend contain an array of classic herbs, spices and aromatics to make your gin along with the essential juniper berries.




How long will the ingredients keep?


The best before date of the ingredients is marked on the base of each tin. Usually, ingredients last at least six months if kept in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.




Are there any allergens in the botanicals?


Each kit and its contents are packed on premises that handles cereals, nuts (including peanuts), soya, sesame and products containing gluten. Each kit may contain stones or pieces of shell.




Where should I store my kit on arrival?


Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.




How long does it take to make gin?


It takes 24 hours to infuse your botanicals, plus another 24 hours to infuse your flavour. Your gin will be ready to drink, however leaving it for a few days more will further enhance the flavour.




Is there any alcohol is any of the kits?


No, we don’t supply any alcohol.




Why is my gin golden or pink in colour?


This is normal. This is due to the infusion of the botanicals and is no way affects the quality of your gin. Pure distilled gin is clear due to the way the botanicals are added during the distillation process.




Is there an easy way to make the gin go clear?


Without using a still, I’m afraid not!




What vodka should I use?


We recommend a good quality vodka with a minimum ABV of 37.5%.

How do I log in?


If you're currently a member and have an account, you can log in here using the email and password chosen when you signed up. If you don't currently have an account, you can create one here. Our members area is the easiest way to get an overview of your plan and make any changes to your contact details or subscription.




How often will I be billed for my subscription?


You will be billed monthly for our monthly subscription service and in full for our 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions.




When will I receive my first subscription box?


Where you have purchased a Subscription, unless we agree otherwise with you, the first delivery may take up to six (6) weeks to be delivered, with the next and subsequent box being delivered at the normal frequency for your subscription.




When do you send out the subscription boxes?


Each box is packed and distributed mid month.




Does my subscription auto renew?


Yes, subscriptions will auto renew at the end of your chosen term unless cancelled




How do I cancel my subscription?


You can cancel your subscription anytime from your customer account and there will be no further auto-renewals. Please note this will not affect your previously purchased packages so you will still receive the boxes you initially purchased.




When do you take payment for subscriptions?


We charge the first months subscription on signup and then the following months subscription is charged on the 1st of the month with the box send out mid month.




Can I change the date that my subscription payment is taken?


Unfortunately, not. We send out all boxes mid month and therefore payment is need prior to dispatch.





Ordering

Why can I not order by phone or post?


Like many online only businesses, we don’t accept orders by phone or post. This enables us to keep our administration costs down in order keep the costs of our products the best value for money.




Do you sell gift cards or provide subscription certificates?


Unfortunately, not at this moment in time.

We are reviewing this and hope to introduce this in due course.




Can I track my order?


Yes, you will receive confirmation of your order by email and also tracking information once your order has been dispatched.




How do I log in to manage my account?

Can I return my box if I don’t like it?


Unwanted goods that have been correctly supplied will only be accepted for return at our discretion. You must contact us for authorisation before returning any items. It will be your responsibility to ensure the goods are returned unopened and in a re-saleable condition. We regret we are unable to refund any carriage costs.

If for any reason your package arrives with signs of damage please sign for the package as damaged and ensure you take pictures of any damage.

If you wish to cancel an order please contact us immediately. If the order has not yet shipped we will process the cancellation and reimburse the price of the products within 30 days of your notification to cancel. Once the order has shipped, we reserve the right not to offer a refund unless your goods arrive damaged as described above.




What if my box is damaged on arrival?


If for any reason your package arrives with signs of damage please sign for the package as damaged and ensure you take pictures of any damage.

If you want to return any of the products you must notify us with 5 days of receipt of the delivery of the goods.





Delivery

Where do you deliver to?


We only deliver to the UK including Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Scilly Isles and the Scottish Islands. We do not deliver to addresses outside the United Kingdom.




What are the delivery costs?


Standard Delivery to the UK mainland - three (3) to seven (7) working days after dispatch £6.50. Express Delivery to the UK mainland – the day after dispatch if you place your order before 12pm, £9.50 Working days are Monday to Friday and do not include bank holidays. UK Mainland - England, Wales, Scottish Lowlands and Islands connected to the mainland by road. Shipping to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands and International. £12.50




How long does delivery take?


Items are dispatched the next WORKING day (often the same day), Monday to Friday, (Bank Holidays not included)

Standard Delivery to the UK mainland - three (3) to seven (7) working days after dispatch

Express Delivery to the UK mainland – the day after dispatch if you place your order before 12pm

Working days are Monday to Friday and do not include bank holidays.

Where you have purchased a Subscription, unless we agree otherwise with you, the first delivery may take up to six (6) weeks to be delivered, with the next and subsequent box being delivered at the normal frequency for your subscription.

Delivery of the Goods shall be made to the delivery address specified in the order and you shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the Goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.





Payments

What type of payments do you accept?


We accept payment by major credit and debit cards. Payment is taken before the goods are shipped. All payments are in pounds sterling.




Can I use a discount code?


Only codes that have been supplied by us can be used. We do not share discount codes with third parties. All discount codes are either displayed on our website or supplied directly by the GinMix Company.

Refer a Friend

Can I refer a friend?


Yes, you can refer a friend and you will then receive a discount code for 10% off your next order. Your friend will also receive a discount code for 10% off their first order.




Can I use my discount code on subscriptions?


Yes, you can use your discount code on any item purchased. The discount code can only be used once.
